Iain Barr Fly Fishing - Hanningfield
Hanningfield is 600 Acres of prime trout fly fishing water set in the Essex countryside with 42 'motor' boats, 2 'rowers' and 2 ‘invalid’ boats.
The water has approximately 3 miles or 5 kilometres of bank fishing available from platforms, plus it also has a natural bank. When the water level drops, there is extensive wading to be had around the water.
Annual stocking amounts to an average of 47,000 rainbow trout with an over wintered stock of Rainbows and Brownies remaining.
The fishery catch limit is 8 fish and Hanningfield operates a system of ‘catch & release’ throughout the season which is from Early March to the end of November.
